BROOKLYN (2015)

A sublime little period piece love story. Admirably constructed and well acted by Ronan. The script was endearing and earnest. Avoided being cliche while, at the same time, utilizing many of the standard tropes. Thankfully they were done without melodrama and with a stylish panache.

This is not usually my kind of movie, but it's quality was undeniable. Lovely, heartfelt, and skillfully handled. A "date movie" that you wouldn't make you vomit.
