8/12/2015 - Spring (2014) - 5+/10

An unique film, pushing against type and general convention, but unsure of its aspirations and unable to reach them. Sometimes horror, sometimes drama, and sometimes comedy, the tonal shifts set it adrift on a sea of middling.
I appreciate thoroughly its desire to tell a supernatural love story in a new way, with new facets, and an "anti-Bella" bent. I was enchanted by the main actress, but the protagonist actor I never connected with, making my empathic journey a bit short.
It is different and decent, but not all that it could be.
