LET US PREY (2014)

A fun horror premise with a slick and well fashioned tone loses itself with ever more nonsensical plot escalation and weirdness.

This film had a strong cast, a tried & true plot, and promising direction. Unfortunately, those beneficial elements are wasted with an ever-increasingly bizarre story, characters that not only don't make sense but are disturbingly unrealistic. Much of what happens doesn't make sense and the finale leaves one wondering what the point of the whole thing was.

It had promise and was enjoyable to watch, but lacked in too many key areas to an egregious degree.
