A bananas blitz! An insanely fun and intently stare into your soul on-board romp that feels hard to deny. Imagine a near sociopathic 8-yr old girl finds the key to unlock & control a misplaced & trapped-on-Earth Skeletor and what follows is the most bleeding-edge bonkers blood-splattered Power Rangers episode you have ever seen for 90 minutes. It is unique, and certainly not for everyone, but an absolutely bug-funning delight!
It’s surreal Saturday cartoon satire mixed with postmodern comedy and Verhoeven-esque goreification. A staggering built world with ideas and creativity oozing out of every orifice. There isn’t any academy award nominee on display here, but everyone buys into the world & characters and makes it work. No tongue can be shoved into cheek because they have all been cut off and warped away into a far off galaxy.
It is so wildly fun and enjoyable. A weird amble in the nutty 80s-styled mind of Steven Kostanski and a definitive “to be” cult classic.
