Gratuitously sadistic and unnecessary. Female revengesploitation with lycanthropy could have been fun, especially since it focused mostly on the women (but they had to throw in some token shitty misogyny), but it was too over the top and lacked character, terror, or fun really anywhere.
Heavy handed and lacking nuance in the horror of the situation.
